ABOUT TRICYCLICALFormed in 2012, by University of Houston, Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Graduates, Stäcy Smith, Em Connor and Allison Currie. The trio met in Gael Stack’s intermediate painting class, formed a fast friendship and decided to go into the art business together as a collaborative team while continuing to foster and hone their own individual skills. The group takes it's name from their number, as well as the cyclical nature of making art. Observe, brain storm, create, scrutinize, repeat.
“As we are all spread across different sides of the city, we wanted a place where we could come together and talk about the art that we are interested in, about things that have to do with art, itself. A virtual gallery-if you will- curated by us, to help us understand the nature of our own work. It’s basically our playground.”~Stäcy Smith The trio's work can be seen at Hardy and Nance Studios, #17, in Houston, TX.
